Cool comics-themed music video
Jul. 3rd, 2006 07:12 pmOkay, yes, yes, I'm sure I'm the only person who was alive during the '80s who hasn't seen this, but we didn't have MTV, okay?
Take On Me
Sure, it's a cheesy '80s song and a *really* cheesy plot, but artistically, I really like it. As somebody who dabbles in animation-for-kicks, it's neat to see how much you can do with very simple animation, especially the animated comic book panels at the beginning. (It's obviously rotoscoping later, but it still looks neat.) And it's especially nifty to see a pop-culture depiction of a comic book that doesn't involve superheroes, Disney or creepy, stereotyped comics fans.
