It's so lovely out there! The temperature rose to about 20 degrees and the trees are so heavily covered with snow that they dip right down to the ground on the abandoned road where I walk the dogs. Wish I'd taken a camera. I have some pictures from a couple of weeks ago that show the trees all covered with snow ... maybe I'll post those.

See, if winter was like this all season long, it wouldn't be a hard thing to deal with at all. On the other hand, I guess having the more severe cold makes the warmer days a thing to treasure. Rather than feeling put out that it's 20 degrees and you have to wear boots and a hat, it's more like delight that you can unzip your heavy coat because it's too warm when you're wading through the snow...

Despite the warm weather, I didn't see any animals out today, not even a raven. But there were fresh rabbit and fox tracks, probably from last night.
