Our Lady of Perpetual Procrastination

I have made a list.

Over the last year or so, my procrastination tendencies have reached an absurd level. Letting myself become overwhelmed with the stuff that has to be done RIGHT NOW, I've been putting off and bumping back the projects that need to be done at some vague point in the future. This means that I promised people commissions back in JANUARY and still haven't done them. It's been 2 months since I promised vogelein a box of stuff, three months since I promised to review a particular DVD for Tart and a freakin' year PLUS since I promised a local creator to review his book, which is just unforgiveable.

So ... I've made a list. It contains all of my "every week" items (e.g. 1 page Freebird, 2 pages Kismet), plus stuff that needs to be done on a regular basis but not quite that often (updating my freelance spreadsheets, paying bills), plus all of the things I can think of that I'm supposed to have done in the last year and haven't. Every day, I intend to check off at least one item from the list.

For those of you reading this ... please comment or email me if there's something I'm supposed to have done for you that I haven't. It may be something so simple as having sent me an email in the past couple of months that I haven't responded to, or something so major as having requested a commission and never heard back.

Onwards with the To-Do List of Doom

Crossed some items off my list tonight. So many to go. *sob* But it does help, psychologically, to see them checked off. And just having them on there is an incentive to do them -- just to get the satisfaction that comes of making a check mark! Which was what I had hoped for. Now if I can just keep it up 'till they're all gone. On the down side, most of the items I've checked off have involved staring at a computer screen, and between the 8 hours that I spent staring at a computer at work, plus the cold that I got from Orion, I now have the headache from hell. Blah.
