Janer is here!

I know, I promised photos and still there are no photos. But I do have an excuse. Jane is here; we've spent the last two days hiking and sightseeing and generally bumming around town. It's astonishing how much longer the weekend seems when a) one spends it doing something other than sitting at the computer or drawing table, and b) one doesn't have to be back to work until a WEEK FROM MONDAY (squee!) so the last half of the weekend isn't spent desperately trying to think of everything that should be done before Monday so as not to waste one precious weekend hour. (I know it sounds stupid, but I can't be the only person in the world who does this -- when I have time off, I spend a truly ridiculous amount of said time off in the throes of fretting about wasting time and making every minute count. Then I get tired of stressing and go waste 2 hours at the computer, so I'm more behind than ever. It's sad.)

The weather could not be more beautiful. We've seen lots of lovely woods, and tomorrow our plan is to drive up the Arctic Circle.
