Raven's Children LIVES!
Feb. 25th, 2005 10:35 pmThe official "hiatus" of Raven's Children lasted only 2 months. I've decided to finish it. Issue #13 is well underway -- I've penciled 10 pages (about 1/3 of the total) after making this decision on Tuesday. Of course, I've done this by sacrificing a good deal of sleep ...
Here's the plan:
- RC #13 (the current, and last, issue in the story arc) will update online until completed.
- This issue will not be collected in individual print format. Rather, I will be putting together the long-awaited 2nd trade paperback this fall. I'm thinking about going to SPX, although I have to see about table availability first.
I'm going to put up a few issues online ... probably the first three ... to give new readers a fair introduction to the series. (I've already got #1, 6 and some of 5 and 12 on the website for samplers, but that's not really enough to get a handle on the story.) The whole series isn't going to be online, partly because, as busy as I am right now, the idea of preparing 250+ pages for the Internet makes my brain melt. You can read #13 for free and then buy the issues (or wait for the TPB) to find out what the heck's going on. (There will also be a very brief summary of what's come before, for new folks or those who've missed a few issues.)
I'm going to be doing a hard push to get RC done by May. "Hunter's Moon" will continue to update as usual ... I hope. At most it might go down to 1 page a week until I finish RC; it won't stop completely. Both my other comics, Reckless and Freebird, will update once more at their regularly scheduled times (because I have these updates completed), and then will be on hold until I finish RC.
