Life at the cabin
Mar. 4th, 2009 03:21 pmSeveral people have pointed out to me that I got my picture in the paper on Monday -- I can be seen in the background at Lallapalooza ... behind a half-naked guy wearing an apron made out of Carhartts. Ha.
We're winding down into the home stretch on winter. We have sunshine, and it's only below zero at night -- I think it's about 15F out there right now.
I'm doing Sun-Cutter pages and, honestly, *loving* it (in fits and starts, between the creative-paralysis moments). Yesterday I was looking through old Hunter's Moon pages, trying to resolve a canon costume question, and I'm really boggled at how much better my art's gotten since then. Of course, it was 2002 when I first started posting HM; I guess it would be much more shocking if I *hadn't* gotten better after coloring 340 pages over the course of five years.
My amaryllis is blooming! It's red and lovely, and it looks like it's putting on four blossoms (two of which are open now). You really appreciate color after five months of snow.
Okay, back to the drawing board.
