The books are in, part 1
Nov. 28th, 2005 06:53 pmMy mind is boggled -- I had no idea it'd be this fast. I don't have *all* of them yet -- there was a box of books in the mailbox this evening labeled "2 of 3", leaving me to wonder just where, exactly, 1 and 3 are. For the moment I will be optimistic that they'll show up in the next couple of days.
Naturally, I have none of the commissions finished (about half are penciled, though), no book-sized mailing envelopes ... it's not as if I didn't know this day was coming, for Pete's sake. So, the next week or so will be spent with my nose to the drawing board, working on the commissions and sketches that go with the books (commissions for those who paid extra for them ... everybody gets a small sketch, though).
I had to go digging out my "good" (read: archival) drawing supplies and paper tonight. Since I never bother trying to sell my originals, I've gotten in the habit of using Sharpies and brush pens for my regular comic art -- not suited for commissions, to say the least.
Most (if not all) of the commissions will be 8x10, though some lucky people may get 9x12's. The bigger ones are harder to mail, particularly since I'm trying to send them in the same shipment with the books.
If you want to order a book/sketch, you can still get the pre-order deal if you order now. Once I finish getting all the pre-orders out, I'll be changing the store page and the moment will have slipped away.
