Music Thanatology
Jun. 29th, 2005 11:51 pmTonight I was looking for pictures of Anchorage's Providence Hospital online (reference for Midnight Sun, although I may end up just making up a hospital to make my life easier), and discovered that Providence's full range of spiritual services for the sick and bereaved includes THIS interesting option.
While it's kind of a nice *idea*, there's just something stunningly surreal about the idea of a blond lady with a full-size harp playing music at your dying loved one's bedside. For one thing, can you imagine being in a coma and waking up to THAT?
