Too much bloody anime
Jan. 7th, 2004 12:41 amWell, literally bloody anime too ...
My sister's been visiting over the last couple of weeks and we've worked our way through a truly mind-boggling pile of anime rented from our friendly neighborhood cult video store. Let's see ... since just before Christmas, we've watched:
Genesis Climber Mospeada (26 episodes)
Saiyuki (26 episodes)
Yu Yu Hakusho (not the whole thing, but at least 40 episodes of it, I'm pretty sure)
Descendants of Darkness (13 episodes)
Plus some movies: Master & Commander (mmm, Stephen), Pirates of the Caribbean (on video), Return of the King, and more ...
This is hideously self-indulgent and wrong ... but I'd pretty much figured that I'd spend the last couple of weeks in pure "veg out" mode to make up for stressing myself so badly before Christmas. I have lots of things to do that I should have done over the holiday and have been procrastinating about ... stuff I should have mailed ... stuff I should have drawn ... stuff I should have written ... and probably a pile of stuff I'm completely forgetting about. Still, I feel like I was starting to deserve (and badly need) a break, and now I'm all fired up to go back to the grind. Harmony's leaving tomorrow morning via Greyhound, and after that I'll tackle my "to do" pile again.
But first, sleep.
