The cat ate my headphones

Little bastard chewed right through them in several places. Now I have to listen to music out loud. I really prefer listening to it with the headphones on. And I liked that pair; they were comfortable. *glares at cat*

It's kind of funny that we never had any chewing problems with the puppies -- Lucky chewed up one of the feet of the table, but that's about it. The CAT, on the other hand, chews on everything. He loves cords and cables of all kinds. He's gonna electrocute himself some day if he's not careful, but I can't imagine how to make him stop, because punishing doesn't seem to work.

Well, he's got an appointment to get neutered on Monday, so TAKE THAT, CAT! Mwahahaha! That'll teach you to chew things!

I don't know why I've been having so much trouble getting work done this week. I've managed to color one page (Thursday's) and pencil another, and that's it. It's not so much that I don't WANT to work ... it's just ... it's taking me forever to accomplish anything. The Thursday page took three nights to color. I really don't know why. I'm SLOOOWWWW. And it's cold. The weather forecast said it could hit -25 tonight. Right now it's -15. The dogs don't want to go for walks, so Lucky's got all this pent-up energy on top of everything else.

Perhaps get some lemon oil and dab it on cables and things that you don't want the cat to chew? Most cats have a strong dislike of citrus, but it won't actually hurt them if they do inadvertently ingest a bit.

Hm! One of my coworkers suggested mixing a few drops of lemon or orange oil in a spray bottle of water and using that to discourage the cat from getting into places where he shouldn't be. Perhaps I could do both.
