Oh my God, they've discovered real-life Kryptonite!

Sort of. Apparently they found a mineral that happens, coincidentally, to match the purely fictitious "pulled it out of our asses" composition of Kryptonite.

But still! This made my inner geek very happy.

It's a freaky coincidence, since obviously they totally made the composition of it up for the movie. Too bad they can't actually call it kryponite (apparently since it's not related to the element krypton, it would violate mineral-naming conventions).

And yes, we definitely need adamantium too!

And don't forget Mithril! I know exactly where it belongs on the periodic table, too. (Atomic number 111, column 1b, in the same family with copper, silver, and gold.)
