Nifty review of Raven's Children

There's a fantastic review of RC up at http://dan-traeger.blogspot.com/. Check it out! (And thanks to Paul Sizer and [livejournal.com profile] vogelein for the tip.) Dan's a really nice guy and he did an excellent and very flattering review of RC a few years back that is linked from my main ravenschildren.com page (although I haven't checked the links in a while, so I'm not 100% sure the link still works -- I actually need to go over the website anyway, so this'll give me an excuse to check all the links and add new ones!).

Awesome! Don't it feel good when people acknowledge your work out of the blue like that?

It gave me a warm fuzzy glow. *smile*

Well, it wasn't really out of the blue. We did used to live in the same town and all, and excellent comics is excellent comics no matter how thin you slice 'em. :)

The review is a cleaned-up slightly re-edited version of an old review I did a few years back for SAVANT which was an elitist and very snarky online magazine. SAVANT has been dead for a while and I'm thinking the web space will be going away shortly, so I'm pulling all of my old reviews off and putting them up on my blog.

Watch the net for the next few days. I do stuff for a meta-site called blogcritics.com, and my stuff usually gets picked up by the internet AP wire so my reviews end up in a lot of newspapers online pages. I might be able to get Layla a whole lot of exposure. Cross your fingers.

Hi Layla! Any chance we'll see a Kismet GN in the near or far future?

Hey there! :) The Savant version of the review is the one I'm linked to, so I will definitely update my links the next time I do a website housecleaning (which will be soon -- it's certainly overdue for it).

Any exposure is nice; of course, more is always better. *grin* And I truly do appreciate it.

There will be a Kismet GN quite soon. Hunter's Moon (http://www.webcomicsnation.com/laylalawlor/huntersmoon) is wrapping up and I fully intend to collect it in TPB form as soon as it's done. I'm currently shooting for late '06, although I'm starting to think that spring '07 might be more realistic. But, yeah, it's out there!

P.S. I sent you an email -- did you get it?

It didn't take them long to post it.

Blogcritics.org (http://www.blogcritics.org) has posted the article, and you can find it here (http://blogcritics.org/archives/2006/07/01/235642.php).

Heh heh... and now it's been picked up for National Syndication! :)
