Fox!

Sitting upstairs at my computer nook, I just happened to look out the window in time to see a fox dart through the yard, run down the bank and across our footbridge. A really *big* fox. It was red on the front half and dark-colored on the back half, with a nearly black tail. Definitely different from the other fox, or perhaps different foxes, that I've seen around here, which was/were a dusty reddish color, almost beige. And it was BIG. It looked almost as big as Lucky, though I know it couldn't be.

I love living here.

AAAAHHH! Fox! I've been on this mini-fox kick lately... saw a disturbing McDonalds ad with one having a cameo, Animal Planet shows fleeting glimpses, and, well, they have always just looked so wickedly slick to begin with.

Plus, you just don't see foxes mentioned or shown often, so when they do, its a real treat.

Alas, I haven't seen him/her again ... although the dogs were super-enthusiastic when I walked them last night, sniffing all over the place, so maybe it's still been hanging around.
