Blech. Sick. It's just a cold, but I was feeling better this afternoon so I took the dogs for a walk -- and now I'm totally wiped out and all I want to do is lie down. But my computer beckons. I wish my chair reclined.
I had a long talk with my sister this morning and she gave me a pep talk/butt-kicking about Kismet ... as sisters are often good for! I haven't worked on it at all in weeks because of paralyzing stage fright -- a bad case of "It's gonna suck" syndrome about the ending. And yet, as she ferretted out of me today, I'm looking forward to getting done with Hunter's Moon because I really want to start working on the next Kismet story. What she pointed out is that the next story is going to be good (it's a breezy, fun action-type story, very different from the slow drama in HM) and no matter how bad the end of HM sucks, it'll soon be eclipsed by the next story and by the part of HM that actually *was* good. Now this might not seem like much of a pep talk, but she's totally right. In the grand scheme of things, this is a small thing, a very small thing. Any ending is better than no ending at all, and I really want to get to the next part of the story. It'll probably end up better than I think it will be anyhow.
The Kismet hiatus will continue for at least another week, because I do still need to hammer out the script, but I think I'm ready to start working on it again, and that is a good thing.

I'd be happy to play sounding board if you're looking for someone to talk at. Goodness knows I've given you plenty of unsolicited feedback....

Thank you, though. :)
I'll try to get *something* up by next week, even if it's not a story page.
