This is a cool site that I stumbled across: Emporis. You can look up photos and stats on high-rise buildings in different cities. I was looking for pictures of the Frontier Building in Anchorage (the 4th-tallest building in town, at 219 ft -- the tallest is apparently the 296-ft Conoco-Phillips building, which I never knew). Kinda fun to look up your city and see what they've got.

I spent a fair bit of time in the Frontier Building while I lived and worked in Anchorage (my job sometimes took me there). SIGH. Anchorage is such a beautiful city. I miss it like the dickens but I don't think I should move back... that would mean removing myself from contact with nearly all my family and friends, who never seemed to be able to visit me while I was living in AK, and missing them would be worse than missing AK. I think. Double sigh.
