*collapses into heap and dies*
Went to work at 9 this morning and just got home at 10:30 tonight. And this is a SATURDAY fercrissake. I'll probably have to go to work tomorrow. I also have to get the boiler running tomorrow because the weather's turned cold (it's almost zero already tonight) and I'm gonna be chilly if I don't get it going. And Izzy's sick -- I think she's got kennel cough. I probably should take her to the vet but for now I'm treating her at home with soft food and lots of rest.
Could I possibly get any busier?
At least I didn't almost kill myself today, like certain other days I could mention.
And I got free food all day long -- our boss bought us lunch since the whole Classified department (and me) were having to work on the weekend, and then the pressroom foreman (who's a friend of mine) bought pizza for his department tonight and included us.
We're putting in a new computer system for the classified ad department and today was spent re-entering, by hand, every single classified line ad from the old database into the new one. Actually, my primary function was to find logos, since none of the logos from the old system can be used with the new system. I went over and helped enter ads later in the evening. It was ... mind-numbing. There were 900-and-something ads total ... there are still over 300 to do tomorrow.
The poor dogs have been shut up in the house all day (I went home once during the day to let them out, but otherwise they've been on their own) so now the puppies are little bouncing balls of energy. Aaaugh. There's nothing like rambunctious yapping puppies to drive you crazy after a long day of work ...
