As the season turns ...

There was ice on my windshield when I got into my car to drive to work this morning. ICE! A week ago it was 80 degrees. Damn mad scientists, messing with the weather ...

The woods are just beginning to turn colors. It's gonna be gorgeous once it really gets going. I went and took some pictures yesterday, like this one:

I know. It's inhuman.

Today it's warmed back up to a reasonable temperature ... it was actually in the 60s today, which is unusually warm for this time of year in Fairbanks.

It's the DARPA guys playing their HAARP! I knew it! I knew it! They're in league with the Aliens! And the French! It's the Gubmint! The GUBMINT!

It's interesting you've heard of HAARP ... I wasn't sure how widely known it was. An awful lot of people up here DO believe that the guv'mint is trying to control the weather, among other things, with HAARP (which is actually a big antenna array near Glennallen for studying the ionosphere). There's a book called "Angels Don't Play This HAARP" that I had a chance to read ... or rather skim ... this past summer. According to the book, the HAARP project is to be used mainly for mind control, with other handy uses such as weather control and localized energy blasts that can kill targets anywhere on the planet.

This, from a government that's run by a guy who probably can't find North America on a map.
