Les Updates
We have an official closing date for the Hell-House: Aug. 6. That is a Friday and it takes 1 business day to process, so I'll be able to move in on Aug. 9. (Don't feel too sorry for me; we planned it this way, for various reasons.) So in one week and one day, I expect to sleep in my new house.
It better be worth all this hassle, is all I have to say about it. If the roof falls off, I will be very peeved.
I started my new job (layout supervisor at the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner) on Monday. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the idea that I'm a boss. It's weird signing off on vacation requests and having people ask me questions like I know what I'm doing -- especially since I just started a new job and I really DON'T know what I'm doing yet.
The last few days have been cool and drizzly. Aside from just generally liking cool, damp weather (yeah, I do) I'm happy that the fires are getting nicely damped down.
Having a job means I now have the ability to scan and FTP files, which means Kismet updates will resume on Thursday.
I also have a mailing address again. It'll be up on my website eventually, and in the meantime you can email me or ask me in the Livejournal to send it to you if you need it.
