Original fiction friending/subscribing meme

Oh, hmm! I just discovered this original fiction friending/subscribing meme on DW for people who write/post original fic.

I think I'll go over there and put my name in the hat. :) I really want to start talking more about writing here -- and I also want to start focusing more on DW-based content on this blog. (My fandom blog is all LJ; I want the original-fic blog to eventually move to all-DW.) One of the problems, though, is that my old flist hasn't moved, so it appears that if I want to have conversations on my DW blog, I'm going to have to build up a new, DW-only list of people to chat with. This might be a good way to start!

That whole "flist isn't moving here with me" thing is annoying and frustrating. I've gone back mostly to LJ because of that. But wow, that original fic friending meme looks good--like I will have time to work on anything, but you never know...

*sighs* Yeah, I know. After trying it for a year, I can now emphatically say that I don't like the whole cross-posting/comment-splitting thing - I want everything in one place. But if I consolidate on DW, I'm going to have to accept the fact that a lot of people won't be coming along. (And I can imagine that the results of trying to move my fannish LJ would be even more disheartening, since I have a much bigger and more active flist that's just as deeply entrenched on LJ - at least the gen SGA part of it, who are mostly the folks I'd want to drag along anyhow.)

I hope that having a few more writer-types around here will get me to talk more about writing. Although really, the last thing I need to do is spend more time online instead of writing ...
