Regarding the gun in panel 3 -- just the possession of it is a crime. On Tertia-controlled Secuba, native Secubans aren't allowed to own weapons.

(Just to put things in context, the active warfare that we saw in the flashbacks to Linton's younger days in Hunter's Moon isn't really going on anymore -- there are still a few flare-ups and pockets of active resistance, but for the most part, the Secubans who haven't fled their homeworld live under Tertian government ... and aren't happy about it.)

That whole comment exchange totally cracked me up, too ...

I've got a character that I think I might use "Suckuban"; I just haven't figured out where to fit it into the dialogue yet! :D
