You know, it's a whole lot easier to draw it right in the first place than to fix it after the fact.

Yeah, I'm trying to fix the fucking train panel from last week's page (which several people have commented upon, and not in a good way ... hahahahaAARGH).

What I'm going for is a train platform on the outskirts of a gritty (but not dystopic ... just kind of working-class) industrial city in the future. Sort of more, say, Chicago than Seattle.

Could you be looking up from under, or is there not enough room to set that up?

(I got lost in Chicago last summer, and spent a certain amount of time walking along under El lines.)

It's a good suggestion, but in this case I'm doing a little montage of panels following a character around her city, so I want to use an angle that shows her getting on the train.

I think I've found a different way of drawing the train that gets the point across without looking quite so bad, though! \o/

(Heh, I was just IN Chicago this past weekend; I wish I'd realized at the time that it might have been a good idea to take reference shots of the el platforms!)

I got lost in some rather sordid parts of Chicago. Rather colored the visit, I'll admit.
