Lallapalooza!

Assuming that I can get out of the driveway tomorrow (which, looking at the state of the driveway after the 6-8" of snow that we got today, is a distinctly open question), I'll be heading down to the Ester library's annual fundraiser, Lallapalooza, at The Annex, to do sketches, hand out signed minicomics and chat about the upcoming Freebird book. (Yes, there IS an upcoming Freebird book. I mean it this time.) The fundraiser is from 1:00-6:30 p.m. Sunday; I may not be there the entire time, but there's lots of cool stuff other than me -- if you can get out of your driveway, come check it out!

(Edit: Awww, awesome husband plowed the driveway! *luffs awesome husband*)

I hope you got out to the book bash. Meanwhile here in the Coastal Carolinas, kids are a quiver with the mere possibility of snow.

Ooh, cool, Mouse Guard icon! I forgot to do a writeup on it, but I went to a talk that David Petersen gave last week, and wow, his stuff is gorgeous! Our comic store is all sold out of Mouse Guard right now, so I tossed a copy into my last Amazon order ...

Check out all the icons on the Mouse Guard site: http://www.mouseguard.net/downloads.htm I've been using the owl eye when I feel like a lurker. I think the Great Horned Owls are splendid illustrations in MG.

I also like the content on Petersen's blog: http://davidpetersen.blogspot.com/

Fun story-- I got in on the ground floor of Mouse Guard from the NYC Comicon when he had just brought it out. I have a signed first edition first issue of it, before it got as ginormous as it did. ^_^
