Still cold.
But it's supposed to warm up next week.
It's not really bothering me all that much. For one thing, it's not all that bad out at our place -- we're not getting ice fog, and this past weekend we were actually above the temperature-inversion layer in the hills, so it was only about -10. It's somewhat vile in town -- 40 below, pea-soup ice fog so that you can barely see the taillights of the car in front of you.
But, really, winter just *is* -- I chose to live here, and I don't mind having an excuse to den up in front of the computer and watch TV. The chickens are doing all right, the dogs are kind of bored but not unhappy, and we have plenty of coal.
I haven't really gotten anything accomplished creatively since the first of the year, though. I appear to be suffering from some kind of post-vacation, post-holiday, midwinter brain blight. This weekend's plan: sit down, quit all my browsers, and start getting stuff done.
There's a new story updating at Kismet City Limits: "Even Love is Sold". Comrades in Arms is now complete.

But I don't WANT her back! Isn't there somewhere else we can send her? A nice desert island or something?
