Laptop!
I have a shiny new laptop! *pets it* It's a MacBook, named (wait for it...) Fleetwood MacBook. (Hey, I haven't named one of my computer accounts with anything other than my own name in a decade. It was time for a bit of flippancy.) It's so small and shiny! I was worried about the 13-inch screen, but so far it's not bothering me at all. It probably won't be my main working machine, but now I have it for traveling and for working away from the main desktop unit on which I'm currently typing this blog post. I feel so very extravagant.
I spent tonight doing some work on the Kismet archives. I had originally divided the Kismet short stories into three different series: "Long Road Home" was for Tertia stuff, "Reckless in Thermopylae" was the Anubians and Fleetwood's life, and "Kismet City Limits" was for the stories specifically taking place in Kismet. Not very user-friendly, though, and a pain in the ass figuring out where to put each story in my fairly extensive library of not-yet-written stories. So now the first two series have been deleted, and the stories they contained (nothing new since 2005, don't worry about missing anything) have all been consolidated into Kismet City Limits. I plan to begin twice-weekly KCL updates on Dec. 1, and keep at it until I work through my backlog of unfinished/unwritten short comics. :> (Six pages done so far! Whee!) Under the cut -- a single page from the first short comic on the roster. Dialogue removed to avoid too many spoilers. I am FAR too amused at 5-year-old Fleetwood (that's who the curly-haired kid is) and how he's just like adult Fleetwood only ... less verbal, and even more hyper.

I'm so jazzed to be working on Kismet again, and actually finishing things, rather than beating my head against the next GN. Apparently, I am a creature of instant gratification.
