Uh-oh ... the world has discovered Joe Vogler. Alaska will never be taken seriously again! Not that it was anyway.

(They neglected to mention his hatred of aspens for some reason.)

Ha! Oh, fantastic. Yeah, when you (and I) first moved here, Vogler's murder was the biggest thing to hit Fairbanks in years. Everyone was still talking about it. I actually hadn't realized that his body was missing for such a short period of time; the rumor mill (not to mention the conspiracy theories) had blown the whole thing up to Hoffa-esque proportions. "Racist with delusions of grandeur" ... heh. I guess the thing about Vogler is that everyone up here knows he's a loon, but he's a loon who made life a whole lot more interesting for a while.
