John Scalzi wins!

And Fox News fails. At everything. As usual. Even Wikipedia knows that "baby mama" is slang for an unmarried mother, a.k.a. some woman you knocked up. And I'll believe there's no racial bias here when, and only when, Faux News calls Cindy McCain "McCain's piece of tail" or something equally crass.

Edit: BWAHAHAHAHA. Google wins too! Guess what you get when you type "faux news" into their search box? That's right, second hit down.

Bob Edwards piece is really about how we have polarized as country. Generally it has become okay to only mix with people who hold your beliefs. With the churchs taking on a more social role, clubs like the Lions etc have fallen out of favor(aside: the boy and a friend went to the Lions club to ask for funding for our 4H robotics club. Average age around 60. But he was amused by their pep song and the lone woman member, who has the title Tail Twister). As a result Americans are losing the community forums where people of differing views could meet and discuss things in a neutral forum. The Bob Edwards piece is not about the election, but the polarizing of the country.

I have problems with people who haven't been outside their cosy enclaves in the Northeast and Left coast. Obama at least understands midwestern values, if he could not win there against Clinton. With various Jesse Helms campaigns, I've watch a number of under handed tricks. I went to grad school in Chapel Hill, everyone I knew was voting against Helms, but still he won in the non-metropolitan counties.
