Taking the plunge! I'm going to try National Novel Writing Month this year and see if I can FINISH something. (My goal for 2007 was to complete a novel, but I'm woefully far from accomplishing that.) I've created a new journal for it: icefallstudio.

I'll start posting the novel as I begin writing it on November 1. I may also post other stories-in-progress from time to time. This was one of the original purposes of icefallpress, but that's not really working out so I'm going to try it in the form of a journal expressly for that function, and see how that works.

The novel, and probably most of the other stuff I post there, will be locked and visible only to people who are "friended". I'm not going to friend most people automatically, with a few exceptions, so please comment if you would like to be added.

Good Luck. I have fantasized about writing as well. What genre is your writing going to be? I would enjoy seeing it.

It'll be a young adult science fiction novel. The original idea was that it'd take place in the same universe as Kismet, but I think I'm not going to remain wedded to that; I'll be altering the history, technology, etc. as needed for the story to work best.
