To upgrade or not to upgrade ...

I've been hearing a lot of things about instability with iTunes 7 -- that it crashes while downloading songs, and the like. Any truth to this? Anyone using iTunes 7 (on the Mac platform) and having problems? or not having problems? Anybody who upgraded and then had to downgrade?

I would just happily stay with 6, but I've discovered that I can't buy video files without upgrading, and there are some TV episodes that I want to buy. So now I'm trying to decide if I should just be patient and wait for the next update to come out, or take a chance.

I haven't had any problems with it so far on my MacBook.

I haven't upgraded, mostly because I've heard reports of how bad it is.

I haven't upgraded either... 6 hasn't worked for me though. It has completely ignored my ipod after reloading all the songs I had to dump when reformatting the ipod to fix the last communication issue. Grr. I have to say my overall experience with itunes has been frustrating. I wish you luck.
