One long week down
It's Friday night already? Wow ... this week was a blur. All the books are here; the mailman actually came all the way down our horrific driveway to deposit them at our doorstep. Last night was largely devoted to making a display stand and other promo stuff. My lovely assistant Orion hot-glued the display box for me, because by the time I got to that point, I was so thoroughly frustrated from wrestling with the foamcore (including miscalculating sizes and having to cut everything twice) that I was about to throw the whole mess across the room. Orion deserves hazard pay for dealing with me in "obsessed, stressed" mode. But the end result was nice, and the comic shop guy liked it. I wish I could stay home all weekend and finish up the commissions, but I really do have to head into town for several reasons, not the least being to get some Christmas shopping done. The annual Farmer's Market bazaar is tomorrow -- I missed all the other holiday bazaars; I really should go to at least *one* -- and there are a few other specialty stores I've been wanting to browse for gifts, but haven't been able to get to during the workday. So ... tomorrow I'll head into town early, do my running around and then work on commissions in the evening.
