Condition Green

This weekend I'm doing my final project for my cartooning class, which also happens to be the first few pages of Midnight Sun, my new Alaska superhero series. Next week is the last week of my class and then I'll have my evenings free again, so I'm still on track to resume Kismet on July 11. It looks like I'm going to be gone the last two weeks of July, come to find out, so I intend to get enough Kismet done that it'll update while I'm gone. Freebird will definitely have its July update (featuring strips and character designs from class) but we'll have to see about August; it depends on whether I can work on pages on vacation or not. I will at least try to have *something*. Luckily, this is the last big interruption in my schedule that I foresee in the future for quite awhile. After July, I'm just gonna be hanging out in Fox, drawing. Kismet and Freebird will continue to update regularly, and I'll add Midnight Sun to the mix (probably at the rate of a page a week) as soon as I get a good buffer of pages built up.

There is a full chapter preview of insanely talented [livejournal.com profile] svetlania's forthcoming Tokyopop manga Dramacon online. I was slightly lukewarm on the idea of a book set at an anime convention, butI always like her work so I went to check out the preview and ohgoditssocutehelphelp. Can't wait to buy!

Damn, you're right. This is a cute book. Has she done other work before?

Hey, I liked your book! When's it coming out again?

And did this really happen, or is it based on events?

And have you ever heard of ConScrew (http://www.conscrew.com)?

The link is not working ;o; Not recognizing th name, but I am guessing it's about cons? *wanna reaaaaad*

My book's street date is Oct. 11! :D It's nothing that really happened and it's not really based on any real-life events. Unfortunately. Much as I would have liked to have had an affair with a hot cosplayer XD

She also does Chasing Rainbows (http://www.girlamatic.com/series.php?name=svetlanaseries) on Girlamatic and Night Silver (http://www.wirepop.com/comic_index.php?id=8) on Wirepop (both currently paused while she's finishing Dramacon, although there's plenty of archives to read).
