Work updates
The new RC update is online ... just a little bit late. So far, I'm sailing along on Raven's Children and keeping up with Hunter's Moon too. Can it last? I seem to be successfully sticking to my RC timetable, which has me finishing the current issue in early May. That'll give me a good three months to put together the TPB in time for APE.
Today's tasks:
-Finish coloring Hunter's Moon pages for next week
-Finish toning the currently inked RC pages (actually, I'm done with that, unless I scan in the 2 additional pages that I inked last night ... I may not bother until I have a bigger batch of stuff to scan)
-Pencil the RC page that I skipped because it was too challenging at the time for my sleepy and stressed brain. Battle scenes, blech!
-Do sketches for a collaborative project that I've been discussing with my sister. Yeah, like I need MORE projects to work on ...!
-Get caught up on email
-Do minor website updates -- fix broken links, etc.
This coming week, I'll just be getting back to routine -- alternating between penciling/inking RC pages and HM pages. Except for that one skipped page, I have RC inked all the way to page 17, which finishes up the first major scene in the issue. There are basically 3 scenes that make up the issue, and now I can start on scene #2, which means I'll get to draw something other than Ronin and Jained. Not that they aren't entertaining to draw, but I'm ready for something different.
This issue is currently looking like about 38 pages, but I'm going to try to shave off a couple of pages from each of the other scenes to make it a little shorter and easier to finish up by May.
And then it'll be done. Done, done, done ... after 5 years. Actually it won't *really* be done; there is still a lot of story to go. But this is the stopping place where it will stay for quite awhile. I'm alternately looking forward to it and feeling a little depressed about it.
