The new Raven's Children update is online
Go here to behold the results of my labor. It took ... a lot longer than I was expecting. I've basically spent the whole day working on the website (except for a few hours in the morning watching a friend compete in a martial arts tournament in town ... fun stuff). Four complete issues are now online (1-3, and 9 because I'm out of copies and don't plan to make more anytime soon, what with the new TPB coming up and all). Hopefully I won't have to do any other major website revisions in the near future ... although the WHOLE Raven's Children site really is starting to need to be reviewed and updated ... but I suspect it won't be soon.
It's always interesting to read the website traffic logs. Today, for example, I discovered that there seems to be some kind of problem with the sketchbook part of the site. It returns a LOT of 404 errors, but I don't know why. Everything works fine when I try it; what the hell is going on? If anyone has problems with the sketchbook, would you PLEASE email me or leave a comment in my journal? ::confused::
My old fan site, which presently shares space with my "serious" sites, gets a helluva lot more traffic than I realized. Like ... half to two-thirds of the total traffic on the website is on the fan side. And it's ALMOST ALL TEXT, compared to the mostly-images content of my comics websites. That's just unreal. I suppose if I start running into bandwidth problems (not an issue so far, but the more comics I stick up there, the more likely it becomes) I can pull down the fan site first. I really thought that no one ever looked at it, since I haven't even updated it in well over a year, and never really went out of my way to promote it at all. Apparently I was wrong. But it does drive traffic to my other site, even though I haven't really made a big deal on the fanside of promoting my serious work. (It's just a tiny little "hosted by" link at the bottom, if I remember right.)
