Cruising along

It's been a productive week, in spite of a mystery stomach bug that's been nagging at me. I'm done with HM updates through the 21st of this month and updated Reckless with 2 pages tonight. Next week's "Reckless" update (also 2 pages) is mostly done and then it's just another 2 pages to the end of this particular sub-story (Nightfall in the Hall of Ancestors). My plan for tomorrow, if I feel good enough to get work done, is to finish up Nightfall and start on the next of the Reckless sub-stories, "I Would Fly Away". (The first page of that one is actually mostly done ... I just need to finish inking it.) Then I'll need to decide between getting either further ahead on HM, or starting the next chapter of Freebird. I'm still figuring out to start Freebird, so I might keep working ahead on HM ... my original plan was to finish the February updates before working on anything else, so maybe I should.

It's cold, but it's supposed to warm up. This last week has been hovering around -40 in town, closer to -30 out here in Fox where our elevation is somewhat higher than Fairbanks. In the winter, higher=warmer since cold air sinks and pools in low-lying areas (Fairbanks, for example). It's supposed to warm up to near zero tomorrow and then skyrocket into the teens in the following week. And the sun shone on our house today for the first time since early November (the hill has been blocking it). Can spring be far away?? Well ... yes it can, actually. And we're very low on coal, so we've switched back to wood for house-heating purposes.
