This scene relies very heavily for context on this flashback from Hunter's Moon, since this is the second half of the same flashback. (There is another bit of this flashback here, in an earlier chapter of HM, which incidentally was also the first time I ever drew Gerald. I've now been drawing this flashback for ten years...)
