Packrats r' us

In the last few days I've filled up 3 giant trash bags with ... absolute garbage; we're not even talking stuff in the "why the HELL did I buy this?" pile, such as all the useless little novelty baskets and candles that any house containing a female person inevitably accumulates. No, this is just stuff that should have been thrown out a long time ago, like all the little Priority Mail boxes that I saved even though new ones are free and you can't legally re-use old ones, or piles of botched Raven's Children copies from the early days when I was just figuring out how to use a copy machine and kept mis-registering them, or dozens of old beer bottles that I saved as part of a home-brewing project that I never finished. Not to mention the boxes and boxes of books that I not only don't want, but can't even figure out why I bought in the first place; the goddawful comics that have been taking up space for MUCH too long (Peter Pan vs. the Space Pirates???); hideous wedding presents that have never seen the light of day since my wedding 4 years ago ... why can't I be this ruthless when I don't have to? I'd have so much more space in the house!

On the other hand, I keep bringing to light cool things that I didn't know I had. Came across a stash of the first, magazine-sized printing of RC #1, with the old hand-drawn logo; I thought all those were gone long ago. I'd also forgotten that I did so many different Kismet 'zines before I started doing it as a comic; there are at least 4 or 5 of the short stories in 'zine form. I wish I'd found this stuff months ago; I think it would be cool to do a garage sale from my website or give them out as freebies with orders or something.

EDIT: Make that 4 bags of trash.
