Infested with yardmoose

There's a little bull with stubby, velvet-covered antlers that's been hanging around the last week or two. I got some decent shots of him browsing around outside the back door last night.

Scrawny little guy, but stubborn, and not at all concerned about people. Twice now, I've encountered him along our 3/4 mile driveway and had to back up the car to find a place to turn around because he wouldn't move. (Luckily, there's an alternate way into the yard through the gravel pit, or I guess I would've had to make him move.)

Aww, such a cutie! I love the Alaskan "scrawny", which is rather different from the lower 48. Down here we'd say HOMG GIANT MOOSE IN OUR YARD AHHH! (we do get 'em, a couple towns over a cow gave birth on someone's front lawn, but...)

*laughs* Yeah ... small by moose standards is pretty huge by any reasonable criteria! Even a little moose is OMG BIG.
